This is a stunning fossil ammonite (Harpoceras sp.) collected many years ago from Whitby, Yorkshire, England. It is a very good quality specimen which has been cut and both halves polished to create a beautiful pair to display. The ammonite has amazing detail, colour and preservation, with many calcite filled chambers ! Part of an old collection from over 20 years ago !
Specimens measure approx 13.7cm x 11.5cm x 1.8cm and 13.5cm x 11.2cm x 1.6cm.
